I was born and raised in southern Ontario but now I am happy to call the West Coast of British Columbia my home. I currently live a fairy tale life in Whistler, where I get to play all the time in the wonderful outdoors. I am very grateful that my partner Ollie loves to play just as much as I do and that he supports me through all of my adventures including trekking with his "mummy" to Everest Base Camp!

I feel privileged to be "putting my life on hold", as Pip describes it, to ensure her dream of trekking in the Nepal Himalaya is fulfilled. Right now I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else! I am blessed to have Pip as a friend and as my "mum". Her endless energy, positive spirit, can-do attitude and excitement for life are all contagious and make it so easy to support her as she lives with the challenges that MS have presented her.

I am excited to be apart of this trek to Everest Base Camp since it is reaching beyond our adventure to make the outdoors accessible to others living with disabilities. I am amazed by all the support and excitement we have experienced from our family, friends, organizations, corporations and even complete strangers for our journey. Without this support, reaching Everest Base Camp would seem like a distant dream and not a reality.

I cannot wait to see how this project changes people’s perceptions of life with disabilities and motivate others to explore places they didn’t think possible. Nothing is impossible!
